Forth Rail Bridge

The Forth Rail Bridge spans the estuary of the River Forth, and links Edinburgh and Fife. The bridge took seven years to construct and was formally opened by Prince of Wales on 4 March 1890.

The Forth Bridge at the time was the world's longest cantilever bridge. The red steel of the bridge is an iconic symbol of Scotland.

UNESCO inscribed it, as the sixth World Heritage site in Scotland In July 2015.
