Cranbrook Windmill
Cranbrook Windmill, also known as Union Mill, is one of the most famous landmarks in Kent and the tallest surviving smock mill in the United Kingdom. Built in 1814, it stands at over 70 feet high and was originally powered by wind to grind corn into flour for the local community. Its distinctive white-painted wooden structure, tapering towards a cap fitted with large sweeping sails, dominates the skyline of the historic town of Cranbrook.
Carefully preserved and still in working order, Cranbrook Windmill
offers visitors the chance to see traditional milling machinery and learn about the vital role it once played in local life. Today, Union Mill remains both a heritage attraction and a symbol of Cranbrook, reflecting the town’s rural history and engineering ingenuity.

The canvas is mounted on a wooden frame. The wooden frame is approximately 2cm deep so will fit snugly against any wall.
