Emily Ward’s art coaster offers a joyful and imaginative take on the Clifton Suspension Bridge, one of Bristol’s most iconic landmarks. The bridge’s tall stone towers and sweeping cables stretch confidently across the Avon Gorge, painted in rich golden and terracotta tones that glow warmly against a vivid, purple sky.
Soft, swirling brushstrokes and delicate colour gradients give the sky a magical, almost dreamlike quality.
Below the bridge, the landscape is bursting with life. A sea of wildflowers in pinks, purples, yellows, and whites fills the foreground, painted with playful splashes of colour. The river winds gently beneath the bridge, reflecting hints of the surrounding colours.

The Clifton Suspension Bridge
is a celebrated symbol of Bristol, gracefully spanning the dramatic Avon Gorge and connecting Clifton to Leigh Woods.
