This delightful painting of a quaint little bothie overlooking an unspoilt rugged loch in the Scottish Highlands is splashed with colour. Emily’s use of purples across the Grampian Mountains give a mysterious feel to this art print.
The soft purples and blues from the evening sun glistening off the loch sparkling with colour. Emily's bothie is nestled amongst wildflowers and the purple heather of the highlands.

The highlands, often portrayed as the romantic area of Scotland, are home to many local bothies. Bothies are basic dwellings usually made of stone and wood and are free to take shelter in. Usually found next to walking trails and in unspoilt areas, they certainly add to the character of landscape.
