Beer, Devon bone china cup has been designed from an original painting by Emily Ward. All cups are printed and hand pressed in Emily's studio in the North East.

Emily’s art cup shows Beer as a serene coastal haven shaped by sea, land, and light. The sky is clear and expansive, painted in gentle blue tones that create a calm backdrop for the scene.

The sea lies quietly beside the shore, its deep blues contrasting with the rich, sandy colours of the beach.

A line of small fishing boats are painted in soft, varied colours and sit quietly along the shoreline.

Towering cliffs rise along the bay in warm, earthy hues, while grasses and wildflowers in the foreground soften the composition, giving the scene a natural, peaceful rhythm.

Beer, Devon

Beer is a picturesque fishing village on the south coast of Devon, nestled beneath dramatic cliffs along the Jurassic Coast, near to the town of Seaton. Its shingle beach curves gently around the bay, offering calm, clear waters that are often sheltered from strong winds.

Colourful fishing boats are pulled up onto the shore, reflecting Beer’s long maritime history and close connection to the sea. With its whitewashed cottages and narrow streets, the village and its beach together create a peaceful coastal setting that feels traditional and welcoming.

Beer is on the edge of the South West Coast Path and is part of East Devon Natural landscape.
