Windsor Castle Bone China Cup

Windsor Castle bone china cup has been designed from original artwork by Emily Ward. All cups are printed and hand pressed in Emily's studio in the North East.

Emily’s art cup offers a colourful and imaginative view of Windsor Castle, blending historic architecture with a sense of vibrancy and life. The castle, with its impressive towers and battlements, stands proudly, painted in soft golden and sandy hues that emphasise its enduring presence.

A sweeping avenue leads directly to the entrance, bordered by dense green trees. Overhead, the sky shines in a brilliant blue with gentle cloud patterns. The foreground is alive with a burst of wildflowers in pinks, purples, yellows, and whites, applied in playful, scattered strokes that fill the scene with joy and movement.

The contrast between the castle’s regal solidity and the lively, colourful meadow below brings a sense of harmony, presenting Windsor Castle as both a monument of history and a part of a vibrant, ever-changing landscape.

Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle in Berkshire is the world’s largest and oldest inhabited castle, serving as one of the official residences of the British monarch. Established by William the Conqueror in the 11th century, it has been continuously occupied by royalty for almost a thousand years, making it a unique symbol of Britain’s history and heritage.

The castle is both a fortress and a palace, renowned for its grand State Apartments, the iconic Round Tower, and the stunning St George’s Chapel, home to the Order of the Garter and the site of many royal weddings and burials.

Set within beautiful gardens and commanding views over the River Thames, Windsor Castle showcases centuries of architectural evolution. Today, it remains a working royal residence while also welcoming visitors from across the world to explore its historic rooms, chapels, and grounds.
