About Warkworth Castle
Located in Northumberland, Warkworth Castle
is a ruined medieval castle built by King Henry II. The Castle has been victim to many attempted seiges, was home to the Percys, and then became Yorkist headquarters.
The structure of the castle is motte and bailey, with added features like the gatehouse and the drawbridge. Warkworth Hermitage is also nearby the castle, and the village of Warkworth.
