Wallington Framed Ceramic Tile

Wallington framed ceramic tile has been created by North East artist Emily Ward. Emily has transferred her painting onto a ceramic tile and the delicate colours look lovely with the glaze of the tile.

Emily has captured the beautiful gardens of Wallington full of bright and cheerful flowers. The ancient dragon sculptures guard Wallington and can be seen nestled amongst the yellow flowers.

Emily's hand finishes each ceramic tile with her trademark splashes of colour adding warmth to this art gift.

Wallington

Wallington was originally a castle owned by John Fenwick who was a Jacobite. After getting into debt he sold the estate to the Blackett family. a wealthy mining family in Newcastle. They owned this as their country retreat and knocked down the medieval building and built the new building and gardens. The cellars are the only original part of the hall.

Wallington was passed on to the Trevelyan family who many years later gifted it to The National Trust.

Ceramic Framed Tile

Each Framed Tile is hand finished by North East Artist Emily Ward. So although your ceramic framed tile is actually a print, no two tiles are identical. Emily hand finishes the tiles by adding extra paint to the ceramic tile.

The framed tile appears as if it is floating inside the frame.

Frames are available in White and Black Frames.

Each frame is 27 x 27 x 5cm

Colours may vary as each tile is printed individually.
