Wallington Clocktower Open Edition Print

Wallington Clocktower open edition print has been created from original art by local North East artist Emily Ward. This art print of the country house and garden is also available framed.

Sunshine radiates over this 18th century arched clocktower, and casts a bright, colourful reflection of pinks and yellows over the grassy entrance.

Vibrant pink, purple and yellow flowers grow wildly in front of the clocktower drawing you towards the historical stone building.

Emily's art print is full of colour and would add a cheerful touch to any wall.

Wallington Clocktower

In 1688, Sir William Blackett (1657-1705) bought Wallington as a country retreat for his family, away from their main home at Anderson place in Newcastle.

In 1728 Wallington was passed to the 21-year-old Sir Walter Calverley Blackett, who built the clock tower which dominates Wallington's courtyard. The clock tower is one of the most distinctive features at Wallington, it was completed in 1754 to a design by Daniel Garrett

Sir Charles Trevelyan gave Wallington to the National Trust in 1941.
