The Mill, Fountains Abbey Keyring

The Mill, Fountains Abbey art keyring has been designed from original artwork by Emily Ward an artist from Newcastle. This art keyring is printed and hand pressed locally in Emily's studio.

The ancient mill house can be seen reflecting off the tranquil stream which is lined with dainty daisies.

Shimmers of purple from the evening sun swirl through the fluffy clouds giving a gorgeous glow to the stillness of the water.

The Mill, Fountains Abbey

Fountains Abbey near Ripon in North Yorkshire is one of the largest and best preserved ruined Cistercian monasteries in England. Fountains Mill was built in the 12th century and is the oldest building on the National Trust estate in Yorkshire.

Built to grind grain for the monastery by the Cistercians, it was in continuous use until 1927. The building had been modified and adapted over the years. With a long history, the building has previously been used as a timber sawmill, a monastic granary and a home for refugees over the years.

The Mill was restored in 2001 and hosts an interactive exhibition nowadays.
