Stonehenge Square Open Edition Print
Stonehenge Square Open Edition Print
Stonehenge square open edition print has been produced from original art by local North East artist Emily Ward. All of Emily's art prints are also available framed.
Emily’s art captures the poetic blend of the historic Stonehenge set amidst vibrant nature and framed by a brilliant glowing sky. The sky transitions from a deep red and orange to a soft yellow and white which could mimic either a warm sunrise or sunset on this art print of Stonehenge.
The monoliths stand tall and solemn, their rough textures softened by the dreamy palette behind them. A field of wildflowers growing merrily pop with colour and splashes of pink, yellows and whites on Emily Ward’s art.

Stonehenge
Stonehenge in Wiltshire on the Salisbury plain is a World Heritage UNESCO site. Work started on the stone circle around 5000 years ago and took over 1000 years to complete.
Stonehenge has become a symbol of ancient mystery and spiritual significance. Each year on the longest day of the year, June 21st, the sun rises over the largest single stone which stands outside the main monument and is named the Heel Stone. Every year around 20,000 people gather at Stonehenge to celebrate the Summer Solstice
The sun always sets over the Heel Stone on the shortest day of the year. Many researchers believe that Stonehenge might have been a calendar linked to the study of the stars.
