Stonehenge in Wiltshire on the Salisbury plain is a World Heritage UNESCO site. Work started on the stone circle around 5000 years ago and took over 1000 years to complete.
Stonehenge
has become a symbol of ancient mystery and spiritual significance. Each year on the longest day of the year, June 21st, the sun rises over the largest single stone which stands outside the main monument and is named the Heel Stone. Every year around 20,000 people gather at Stonehenge to celebrate the Summer Solstice
The sun also always sets over the Heel Stone on the shortest day of the year. Many researchers believe that Stonhenge might have been a calendar linked to the study of the stars.

The canvas is mounted on a wooden frame. The wooden frame is approximately 2cm deep so will fit snugly against any wall.
