St Paul's Cathedral Postcard
St Paul's Cathedral Postcard
St Paul's Cathedral postcard is from North East artist Emily Ward's beautiful range of art postcards. This postcard has been created from original art by Emily.
This art postcard by Emily Ward offers a bold and colourful vision of St Paul’s Cathedral, combining its architectural majesty with a lively, modern flair. The cathedral’s famous dome takes centre stage, rendered in cool shades of grey, blue, and white, standing out against the vivid backdrop.
The sky is awash with warm pinks and peaches, dotted with flecks of yellow, purple, and white that create a dreamlike atmosphere. At the base of the scene, the foreground comes alive with a field of flowers, their pinks, purples, greens, and yellows scattered in energetic strokes that add vibrancy and movement.
The contrast between the cathedral’s enduring solidity and the playful energy of the sky and flowers makes the artwork both striking and uplifting, reimagining St Paul’s as a landmark surrounded by colour and life.

St Paul's Cathedral
St Paul’s Cathedral , located at the heart of London, is one of the capital’s most iconic buildings and a masterpiece of Baroque architecture. Designed by Sir Christopher Wren after the Great Fire of London, it was completed in 1710 and has remained a defining feature of the city’s skyline ever since. Its vast dome, among the largest in the world, is instantly recognisable and offers breathtaking views across London.
The interior is richly decorated, with a grand nave, detailed mosaics, and the famous Whispering Gallery, where even the quietest words can be heard across the dome. Over the centuries, St Paul’s has been the setting for some of Britain’s most significant events, including royal weddings, state funerals, and national services of remembrance. Enduring as both a working church and a national symbol, it is especially remembered for its survival during the Blitz, when it stood as a beacon of hope and resilience.
