St James's Palace Square Open Edition Print A4
St James's Palace Square Open Edition Print
St James's Palace square open edition print has been produced from original art by local North East artist Emily Ward. All of Emily's art prints are also available framed.
Emily’s art print of St James's Palace is glowing with shades of burnt orange, terracotta, and warm brick red. Subtle touches of golden yellow and soft brown add depth to the stonework, while the windows introduce cooler accents of pale blue and white, creating contrast against the warm walls.
Above, the sky is a soft wash of powder blue and lavender, lightly textured and speckled with floating dots of pink, yellow, and white.
In the foreground, a lively spread of flowers fills the lower edge of this art print. Tall stems rise in purple, magenta, blue, yellow, and white, suggesting spring or summer blooms swaying gently together.
These bright floral colours echo the scattered flecks drifting across the scene, uniting sky, building, and garden into a joyful, celebratory composition full of light and colour.

St James's Palace
St James’s Palace is located in the heart of London near St James’s Park. It is one of the oldest royal residences in the city and a working palace to this day. Built by King Henry VIII in the 1530s on the site of a former leper hospital, it was for centuries the principal royal residence before Buckingham Palace took over that role in the 19th century.
The distinctive red-brick Tudor architecture, complete with crenellated gatehouse and mullioned windows, reflects its 16th-century origins. While it is not open to the public, St James’s Palace remains an important ceremonial venue, hosting receptions, official events, and the Accession Council that proclaims a new monarch. It also serves as the London base for several members of the royal family, preserving its historic connection to the British monarchy.
