St Albans Cathedral Bone China Cup

St Albans Cathedral bone china cup has been designed from original artwork by Emily Ward. All cups are printed and hand pressed in Emily's studio in the North East.

Emily’s colourful cup of St Albans Cathedral captures a peaceful summer scene surrounded by fresh greenery and flowers.

The warm cream and golden tones of the cathedral stand beautifully against the soft blue sky, while touches of pink, yellow and white add a playful splash of colour throughout.

A leafy green tree frames the scene, and the wooden bench in the foreground gives the painting a calm and inviting atmosphere.

St Albans Cathedral

St Albans Cathedral combines architectural features from several different periods, reflecting centuries of building, alteration and restoration. Its impressive Norman tower is one of its most recognisable features and was constructed using reused Roman material.

Inside, the cathedral contains medieval wall paintings, historic monuments and the shrine of St Alban. Formerly part of St Albans Abbey, the church became a cathedral in 1877 and today remains an important place of worship as well as a major historic landmark.
