Salisbury Cathedral Postcard
Salisbury Cathedral Postcard
Salisbury Cathedral postcard is from North East artist Emily Ward's beautiful range of art postcards. This postcard has been created from original artwork by Emily.
The sky stretches wide in soft blue tones and scattered with flecks of pastel colour that shimmer like drifting light or falling petals.
The cathedral stands serenely beneath it, its spire rising with grace, rendered in warm stone hues of cream, gold, and muted violet that soften the grandeur of the architecture.
In the foreground, a meadow of tall, slender flowers sways across the art postcard, painted in fresh greens, yellows, and touches of pink, white, and blue. These delicate blooms create a joyful contrast with the stillness of the cathedral and uniting the natural and architectural elements in a scene that feels peaceful and luminous.

Salisbury Cathedral
Salisbury Cathedral is one of England’s finest examples of Early English Gothic architecture, standing at the heart of Salisbury in Wiltshire. Built mainly between 1220 and 1258, the cathedral is celebrated for its remarkable unity of design and graceful proportions.
The slender spire rises to 404 feet, making it the tallest church spire in the United Kingdom and a defining feature of the surrounding landscape. Set within a peaceful cathedral close, with wide lawns and historic buildings, Salisbury Cathedral has a calm, timeless presence and is also home to one of the best-preserved original copies of the Magna Carta, adding to its national and historical significance.
