Royal Observatory, Greenwich Keyring
Royal Observatory, Greenwich Keyring
Greenwich Observatory keyring has been created from original artwork by Emily Ward an artist from the North East. This art keyring has been hand pressed locally in Emily's art studio.
This artwork of the Royal Observatory in Greenwich captures the landmark in a vibrant, dreamlike palette. The building’s glowing red-brick walls stand out against a sky painted in swirling shades of pink, lilac, and violet, creating a sense of warmth and movement.
The cool blue domes and spire rise elegantly above the structure, adding balance and contrast to this art keyring.
In the foreground, a meadow of wildflowers in bright purples, pinks, yellows, and greens fills the lower half of the art print, their dappled colours creating energy and texture. The flecks of paint scattered throughout the sky, garden, and architecture together, turning this historic observatory into a radiant celebration of colour and light.

The Royal Observatory
The Royal Observatory in Greenwich is one of London’s most significant historic landmarks, renowned as the home of Greenwich Mean Time and the Prime Meridian Line. Founded in 1675 by King Charles II, it was established to improve navigation and mapmaking through the study of astronomy.
Designed by Sir Christopher Wren, the observatory sits atop Greenwich Hill, offering sweeping views over the River Thames and the city beyond. Its distinctive red-brick building, domed roof, and elegant architecture reflect both scientific purpose and classical beauty. Today, the Royal Observatory stands as a symbol of exploration and discovery, connecting the past achievements of astronomy with the modern measurement of time.
