Munros
The Munros are mountains in Scotland that are over 3,000 feet (914.4 metres) high. They are named after Sir Hugh Munro, who created the first official list of these mountains in 1891.
Today, there are 282 Munros
spread across the Scottish Highlands. Many people enjoy climbing them because of the spectacular scenery, fresh air, and sense of achievement.
Completing every Munro, known as "Munro bagging," is a popular challenge for hikers from around the world.
