Moot Hall - Keswick Postcard
Moot Hall - Keswick Postcard
Moot Hall, Keswick postcard is from North East artist Emily Ward's beautiful range of art postcards. This postcard has been created from original artwork by Emily.
Moot Hall art postcard captures the lively heart of Keswick with a sense of warmth and joy. Emily’s use of colour brings the scene to life with the glowing yellows and soft blues of the sky which suggest a golden morning or a peaceful sunset, casting a gentle light over the town.
The flowers in the foreground create a vibrant carpet of colour, with dabs of pink, lilac, and white that seem to dance in the sunlight. The hall itself stands tall and proud, its clock tower drawing the eye upward as it anchors the composition.
The surrounding buildings, painted in cheerful pastel tones, frame the scene beautifully, celebrating both the charm of Keswick and the timeless presence of its beloved Moot Hall.

Moot Hall
Moot Hall in Keswick is a beautifully preserved historic building that stands proudly at the centre of the Market Square. The present structure dates from the early 19th century, though its origins reach back to the 1500s, when earlier versions served the local community.
Built from traditional Lake District slate, its distinctive clock tower and gabled roof make it one of Keswick’s most recognisable landmarks. Throughout its long history, Moot Hall has played many roles from courthouse and market hall to meeting place for town officials.
Today, it is home to the Keswick Tourist Information Centre and continues to welcome visitors from around the world. With its rich heritage and timeless charm, Moot Hall perfectly captures the character and history of this vibrant Lakeland town.
