Maryport Bone China Cup has been created from original art by local North East artist Emily Ward. The bone china cup is hand pressed locally in Emily's art studio in North Shields.
The small mountains and lowlands on the far side of the estuary can be faintly seen on the cup adding a bit of mystery to this local landmark.
Sea spray from the Solway Firth splashes over the old cast iron lighthouse that stands proud on the pier at Maryport. Hints of purple can be seen shimmering through the dark blues of the sky.

Maryport
is a pretty harbour town in Cumbria with lovely views along the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town is situated just outside the Lake District National Park. It is one of the southernmost towns on the Solway Firth, the River Ellen flows through Maryport into the Solway Firth.
The lighthouse was established in 1846 and is reported to be the oldest cast-iron lighthouse in the UK. The lighthouse is 4.7metres high.
