Lancaster Castle keyring has been created from original artwork by Emily Ward an artist from the North East. This art keyring has been hand pressed locally in Emily's art studio.
Emily’s artwork of Lancaster Castle presents the historic fortress towering proudly across the keyring. The castle’s golden-brown stone walls rise with strength and character, their battlements standing out against a sky painted in soft tones of blue and lavender.
Around the castle, bursts of greenery frame the castle walls, with trees rendered in lively shades of green, flecked with dappled light and colour. In the foreground, a vibrant meadow of flowers stretches across the scene, created through energetic splashes of pink, purple, yellow, and white that bring a playful brightness to the composition.
The scattered dots of paint unify the sky, trees, flowers, and stone, turning Lancaster Castle into a radiant blend of history and nature.

Lancaster Castle
stands proudly on its hill above the River Lune, its weathered sandstone walls and towers carrying the weight of centuries. The grand John O’Gaunt Gatehouse dominates the approach, a reminder of the castle’s long history as a fortress and centre of power.
Over time, it has guarded the city, witnessed famous trials such as those of the Pendle witches, and served as both court and prison. With its battlements, turrets, and arched gateways, the castle embodies medieval strength and authority, while its elevated position creates a commanding view over Lancaster.
