Giant's Causeway- Pink -square open edition print has been produced from original art by local North East artist Emily Ward. All of Emily's art prints are also available framed.
Emily has captured an air of mystery in her painting of the legendary basalt columns of Giant's Causeway. Tones of vibrant oranges blend through the pinks on the stepping stones inviting you to stride out over them.

Giant's Causeway
Giant’s Causeway
is a promontory of basalt columns that run along 4 miles of the northern coast of Northern Ireland. It is situated on the edge of the Antrim plateau between Causeway Head and Benbane Head, 25 miles northeast of Londonderry.
There is approximately 40,000 stone pillars, each typically has five to seven irregular sides that jutt out of the cliff faces.
Legend says it is the work of giants, particularly of Finn MacCumhaill, who built it as part of a causeway to the Scottish island of Staffa (which has similar rock formations) and was the home to giant Benandonner. The giants loathed each other, one day after enduring insults from Benandonner, Finn built the path to use as stepping-stones to reach Scotland. The Scottish giant ripped up the path and what was left was the impressive Giant’s Causeway.
