George Square Canvas Print

George Square canvas print has been created by artist Emily Ward as part of her art portfolio of Scotland.

Emily has created a bright uplifting canvas art print of the City Chambers in the heart of Glasgow. The bright orange sky with soft tones of pink radiates a warming glow over George Square.

Pretty flowers along with Emily's hand finished splashes of colour over the canvas print really do add an upbeat feel to this art print of George Square.

George Square

George Square is at the heart of Glasgow, one of six squares in the city centre.

Work began on transforming a swampy area in 1772, to create a grand residential area with private gardens in the city centre. George Square was opened in 1787 and was named after King George III.

The city chambers are said to have more marble that the Vatican. There is a large number of marble floors within the building.
