Framlingham Castle Canvas Print

Framlingham Castle canvas art print has been created by artist Emily Ward from her original artwork. All canvas prints are hand finished and signed by Emily.

Bathed in the warm glow of a summer's day, Framlingham Castle rises proudly above the tranquil water on Emily’s art canvas print. The ancient stone walls are illuminated in rich golden tones against a dramatic sky of violet, lavender and soft blue.

The still water in the foreground mirrors the colourful sky, creating shimmering reflections of pinks, purples and blues that dance across the surface.

A meadow of vibrant wildflowers stretches towards the water's edge, bursting with cheerful shades of pink, yellow, white and green.

Surrounded by rolling grassy banks and mature trees, the castle stands as a timeless reminder of Suffolk's rich history, its imposing towers contrasting beautifully with the softness of the surrounding landscape.

Framlingham Castle

Located in the market town of Framlingham in Suffolk, East Anglia, Framlingham Castle is one of England's most impressive medieval fortresses. Built in 1148 by Hugh Bigod, the powerful Earl of Norfolk, the castle is famous for its magnificent curtain wall, complete with thirteen striking towers that still dominate the surrounding landscape today.

Although much of the original interior buildings have disappeared, visitors can walk the impressive wall walk and enjoy spectacular views across the Suffolk countryside. The castle is also closely linked to Mary Tudor, who gathered her supporters here in 1553 before being proclaimed Queen Mary I of England.

Now cared for by English Heritage, Framlingham Castle remains one of East Anglia's most iconic historic landmarks, celebrated for its remarkable history, well-preserved medieval architecture and commanding setting.
