Emily’s art coaster captures Chester’s Eastgate Clock in a lively and imaginative style, blending historic architecture with a burst of colour. The ornate clock, with its rich blue framework, golden accents, and intricate detailing, rises elegantly above the warm red and orange tones of the surrounding buildings.
The sky glows in vivid shades of pink, purple, and peach, casting a dreamy, almost magical atmosphere over the scene. At the base, a field of flowers painted in splashes of yellow, pink, purple, and white brings energy and movement to the foreground.
The combination of glowing skies, vibrant blooms, and the detailed clock structure creates a joyful and captivating celebration of one of Chester’s most iconic landmarks.

Eastgate Clock, Chester
Eastgate Clock in Chester is one of the city’s best known landmarks and a striking piece of Victorian craftsmanship. Installed in 1899 to mark Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee, it was built on the site of the original Roman entrance to the fortress of Deva, linking Chester’s ancient past with its later history.
The clock is set within an elaborate wrought-iron structure, decorated with gilded details and four clock faces that can be admired from every direction. Positioned above the Eastgate, it has become an enduring symbol of Chester and is said to be the most photographed clock in England after Big Ben, celebrated for its beauty, heritage, and distinctive charm.
