Dunluce Castle Open Edition Print A4

Dunluce Castle Open Edition Print

Dunluce Castle open edition print has been designed from original artwork by North East artist Emily Ward. This lovely art print is also available framed.

Emily’s colourful open edition print portrays Dunluce Castle rising proudly above the rugged cliffs of the County Antrim coastline, surrounded by the beauty of the sea and countryside.

A soft, atmospheric sky blends gentle blues, lilacs and rosy pinks, creating a warm glow across the horizon and the peaceful blue water beyond.

The rocky cliffs are filled with a mixture of earthy orange, purple and pink tones, softened by areas of lush green grass. In the foreground, tall grasses and wildflowers burst with colour, with delicate touches of pink, purple, yellow, red and white creating a wonderfully lively scene.

Bright splashes scattered throughout add movement and texture, giving this historic coastal landscape a magical, uplifting quality.

Dunluce Castle

Dunluce Castle is a historic medieval castle situated on the Causeway Coast in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, between Portrush and Bushmills. Perched dramatically on a rocky clifftop above the Atlantic Ocean, the castle is reached from the mainland by a bridge.

Much of the surviving structure dates from the 16th and 17th centuries, when Dunluce was associated with the powerful MacQuillan and later MacDonnell families. The castle played an important role in the history of the region and was once the seat of the Earls of Antrim.

Today, its impressive ruins and spectacular coastal setting make Dunluce Castle one of Northern Ireland’s best known historic landmarks and a popular visitor attraction. Dunluce Castle has also featured in the TV series Game of Thrones.
