Corbridge Bridge Postcard
Corbridge Bridge Postcard
Corbridge Bridge postcard is from North East artist Emily Ward's beautiful range of art postcards. This postcard has been created from original artwork by Emily.
Emily’s vibrant art postcard captures this peaceful riverside scene bursting with colour and light. In the foreground, a lively meadow of tall, delicate flowers stretches upwards, painted in joyful shades of pink, purple, blue, and soft white.
Dots and splashes of pastel yellows, pinks, and blues dance across the art print like drifting petals or sparkling confetti. The river reflects gentle blues and soft browns, mirroring the warm tones of the stone bridge that arches gracefully across the water.
Corbridge bridge itself is rich in golden and honeyed shades, glowing warmly in the sunlight and standing in contrast to the cool blues of the sky above.

Corbridge Bridge
Corbridge Bridge in Corbridge spans the River Tyne and has been a vital crossing point for centuries. The present structure was completed in 1674, replacing earlier medieval bridges that had been damaged or destroyed by flooding.
Built of stone with elegant arches, the bridge reflects 17th-century engineering skill and was later widened in the 19th century to accommodate increasing traffic. Its strategic importance is linked to the nearby Roman town of Corbridge, highlighting the site’s long history as a key river crossing since Roman times.
Corbridge Bridge is both a functional road bridge and a historic landmark, offering picturesque views of the Tyne valley.
