Corbiere Lighthouse Postcard
Corbiere Lighthouse Postcard
Corbiere Lighthouse postcard is from North East artist Emily Ward's beautiful range of art postcards. This postcard has been created from original art by Emily.
Emily’s art postcard of the landmark Corbiere Lighthouse on the southern coastline of Jersey stands tall underneath a dreamy sky. Shades of purple and lavender fill the sky and reflect over the waters edge as it rolls towards the rugged rocks.
One striking feature is the splattered, almost snow-like white dots which are scattered throughout Emily's art, which adds to the sense of movement as sea spray is suspended in the air.

Corbiere Lighthouse
Corbiere Lighthouse was built in 1873 and towers over the dramatic coastline of the most south-westerly point on the Island of Jersey. The lighthouse is one of the most photographed landmarks in Jersey and is a great place to watch the lovely sunsets and the rough waters of the Atlantic.
Corbiere Lighthouse in St Brelade can be reached via a causeway that passes through small beaches and rock pools during low tide. The lighthouse tower is 19m high and the lamp stands 36m above high water.
Since 1976, there has been no lighthouse keeper, as the light now runs automatically. The lighthouse was the first to be built using concreate in the British Isles.
