Cheddar Gorge ceramic tile and easel is by Emily Ward, an artist from the North East. This art gift is produced in her art studio near Newcastle.

Cheddar Gorge
Cheddar Gorge
is not only one of Britain's most spectacular natural landmarks, but also a Site of Special Scientific Interest and part of the newly formed Mendip Hills National Landscape.
The gorge was formed by meltwater floods during the cold periglacial period which occurred over the last 1.2 million years. It was during the ice ages that permafrost blocked the caves with ice and frozen mud which made the limestone impermeable. When this melted during the summers, water was forced to flow on the surface, and carved out the gorge.
The Cheddar Yeo River gradually made its way underground, and this created the famous Cheddar Caves.
Ceramic Tile With Easel
Each ceramic tile is made from an original painting by North East Artist Emily Ward.
Each tile comes with it’s own wooden easel so your tile is easy to display.
There is a cork backing on each tile and each tile is individually wrapped in a cellophane bag.
All ceramic tiles are individually printed so there may be a slight variation in colour tones.
Ceramic Tile including the wooden easel is 15cm high x 10cm wide.
