Bishop Rock Lighthouse Hanging Pendant Decoration
Bishop Rock Lighthouseceramic pendant has been created from original art by North East artist Emily Ward. This lovely hanging decoration has been hand pressed locally in her studio near Newcastle.
Emily can handwrite your message on the reverse of the pendant, just add your message to the order.
Emily’s art depicts Bishop Rock Lighthouse standing tall and resilient amid a dramatic seascape. The lighthouse rises from a rugged cluster of rocks, its pale structure illuminated by the warm, glowing hues of the vibrant sunset.
The sky behind shifts from deep purples and blues at the top to rich oranges and yellows near the horizon, which highlights the isolated strength of the lighthouse.
The foreground bursts with energy as waves crash against the rocks, captured with bold splashes of white paint that convey the wild, restless motion of the sea. The water itself is painted in deep purples and blues that blend with the tones of the sky. Bishop Rock Lighthouse
Bishop Rock Lighthouse lies in the westernmost point in the Isles of Scilly, 24 nautical miles off the southwestern tip of the Cornish peninsula.
The original lighthouse on Bishop Rock was built 1849, this was destroyed in 1850. A new tower was designed by James Walker and built by Trinity House in 1858.
Bishop Rock Lighthouse stands 49 meters high and is the tallest and best known lighthouse in the British Isles.
