Beningbrough Hanging Pendant Decoration

Beningbrough ceramic pendant has been created from original artwork by North East artist Emily Ward. This lovely hanging decoration has been hand pressed locally in her studio near Newcastle.

Emily’s art pendant beautifully depicts Beningbrough Hall in a vibrant and dynamic style, blending historic architecture with a burst of colour. The grand Georgian mansion, rendered in soft shades of red brick and cream, stands elegantly, with beautiful exterior demanding attention.

The sky above the hall swirls with pastel tones of pink, purple, and light blue, while splashes of yellow, green, and violet create a dreamlike atmosphere. In the foreground, a meadow of wildflowers bursts with energy, captured through scattered dots and brushstrokes in shades of purple, white, and yellow.

Beningbrough Hall

Today, Beningbrough Hall is a celebrated heritage site, known for its beautifully restored interiors and expansive gardens. The Hall houses an impressive collection of portraits, many from the National Portrait Gallery, and regularly hosts cultural events and exhibitions. It continues to be a prominent landmark, offering visitors the chance to explore both its architectural grandeur and its ongoing role in British culture.

Originally completed between 1716 and 1720, Beningbrough Hall is a stunning example of Georgian architecture, commissioned by wealthy landowner John Bourchier. With its striking exterior, classical columns, and symmetrical design, the Hall has served various purposes over the years, including as a hospital during World War II, adding to its rich historical significance.
