Beachy Head Postcard
Beachy Head Postcard
Beachy Head postcard is from North East artist Emily Ward's beautiful range of art postcards. This postcard has been created from original artwork by Emily.
Emily's artwork presents Beachy Head in a serene yet dynamic way, blending softness with a sense of coastal strength. The sky is washed with light blues, delicately layered to create a calm, expansive atmosphere above the scene.
The sea below appears energetic and textured, with rich blue tones broken by bursts of white that evoke crashing waves and drifting spray. Standing firmly in the water, the red and white lighthouse becomes a striking centrepiece on this art postcard.
In the background, the pale chalk cliffs rise majestically along the horizon, their smooth, luminous surfaces contrasting beautifully with the motion of the sea and completing the sense of scale and drama in the Emily’s artwork.

Beachy Head
Beachy Head is located on the south coast of England in East Sussex, just west of the seaside town of Eastbourne. Part of the South Downs National Park, it marks the highest chalk sea cliffs in Britain and offers far-reaching views across the English Channel. At the base of the cliffs sits a distinctive lighthouse, standing firm against the waves and weather.
The surrounding downs provide open grassland paths that lead to the cliff edge, making the area popular with walkers and visitors seeking fresh sea air. Its coastal position gives Beachy Head a dramatic, windswept character, firmly placing it among the most recognisable landscapes in southern England.
