Millennium Bridge Framed Ceramic Tile is one of many of Emily Ward’s stunning pieces of North East art.

In Emily’s painting, the Bridge appears as though it is floating on the River Tyne itself, surrounded by gorgeous bright flowers. This piece of Newcastle art is definitely a great centrepiece for any room of the house.

The Millennium Bridge is the world’s first and only tilting bridge and it is at the end of a line of distinguished bridges across the River Tyne. It is a pedestrian and cyclist tilt bridge spanning the River Tyne on the south bank of the Quayside.

In Emily’s picture this iconic bridge stands proud against a dusty pink sky which has soft hints of purple glimmering throughout. Tiny yet colourful delicate flowers surround the Tyne Bridge adding a different perspective to this local landmark on the River Tyne.

The Tyne Bridge is a major part of The Great North Run when 52,000 runners pass over the bridge with the Red Arrows flying over it.
