Emily Ward and her Unique Range of  Kitchen Splashbacks

Emily Ward is an artist based in the North East of England. Her style is semi abstract, painterly and vibrant. Emily works primarily with acrylic paint on canvas. As she adores colour you will see a beautiful spectrum of shades in all of her paintings.  She builds up layers of detail and texture using a range of markmaking techniques. To finish her paintings she will always add her signature  “Splash of Colour”. This technique involves adding an exciting layer of splashes. Combined the layers of paint result in joyful and uplifting art works.

Splashbacks are a great way to inject energy and joy into your kitchen area.  Your choice is from a creative and varied art portfolio. This  includes paintings of the stunning castles of Northumberland to the iconic Tyne Bridge over the River Tyne.  Emily's art includes scenes from South and North Tyneside, Durham, Newcastle and Gateshead.  Further afield Emily has a stunning collection of art from areas which include Scotland, Yorkshire and The Lake District.

Modern alternatives for a Kitchen Splashback

Practicality in any kitchen is paramont. Tiles can be tricky to clean and maintain. The good news is that now there are lots of alternative options. Kitchen splashbacks are now made from a wide range of materials. Glass, stainless steel, laminate are all suitable materials. Glass splashbacks will protect your walls from grease, water and other kitchen mess.  They are also easier to fit! They are a wipe-clean screen fitted to your kitchen wall providing protection from heat and condensation.

Placing a Kitchen Splashback Order from Emily Ward Art

Once Emily has your measurements it's time to choose your piece of art. You may choose a square painting but your splashback needs to be a rectangle. This is not a problem. Emily will resize the painting to fit your space.  Portrait, landscape or square she will select the best composition for you. The original art is then digitally transferred onto the glass.  Emily uses 6mm toughened glass with a 1.5mm bevelled edge. The glass used is heat resistant to over 400C. It also comes with a kit to fix it onto the wall.
