Local North East Art

Emily Ward is one of the most leading artists in the North East of England. She has donated hundreds of local North East Art paintings to raise money for local North East charities.


Emily started her business Emily Ward Art in the North East of England six years ago. At the time she was recovering from breast cancer. Art helped Emily focus on her recovery and getting better. Art also helped the North East Artist focus on something which was not breast cancer. Something she always talks about was how art helped her mental health through a very difficult time.

North East Artist

Emily began painting pictures of her children. One of the mums at her local primary school saw one of the paintings and ordered a commission. Hence Emily Ward Art was born. 


Local North East Artist Emily paints mainy landscape paintings of the North East. Her paintings are bright and colourful. She has a painting style which is instantly recognised. Contemporary with a traditional twist. Emily uses bright, bold colours to paint often grey rainy scenes.

She specialises in local North East landscape painting. Tynemouth coast is a popular location Emily likes to paint. Her paintings include great landmarks such as Tynemouth Pier, Longsands Beach and Cullercoats harbour.
